Honda Asian Journey 2019 features India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam

The Honda Group of Companies in the Asia and Oceania region successfully held the Honda Asian Journey 2019. The Honda big bike caravan cruised through Peninsular Malaysia from October 31, 2019 to November 3, 2019, ending up at the Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix (MotoGP) event.

Over 60 riders comprised of customers, journalists, Honda dealers, and associates from six countries, namely Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines and India participated. They gathered to experience the joy of riding Honda’s CBR Series motorcycle all the way to the destination, the Sepang International Circuit.

The journey began at the Sepang International Circuit where all riders gathered for safe riding training and warming up on over Honda’s CBR series they will experience during the journey, such as CBR1000RR, CBR650R, CBR500, CBR250R. In the afternoon, a caravan kicked off by travelling to Malacca, where a scenic landscape awaited the riders to enjoy while cruising.

On October 31, 2019, the Honda Asian Journey 2019 kicked off with a ride from Kuala Lumpur to Malacca, the historical state with heritage buildings, ancient landmarks and colonial structures. On November 1, 2019, there was a ride from Malacca to Genting Highland, the cool hill station set amidst the cool mountain air and a majestic 100 million-year-old rainforest.

On November 2, 2019, a ride took place from Genting Highland to Putrajaya, Malaysia's third and latest Federal Territory. A welcome dinner featured an exclusive appearance by MotoGP riders, including 2019 champion Marc Marquez.

A ride to Sepang International Circuit for the MotoGP race happened on November 3, 2019. Hundreds of other Honda customers cheered for the Honda GP riders in the Malaysia MotoGP.

The Honda Group of Companies in the Asia and Oceania region hosted the Honda Asian Journey 2019. The group includes Boon Siew Honda Sdn. Bhd. of Malaysia, PT Astra Honda Motor of Indonesia, A.P. Honda Co., Ltd. of Thailand, Honda Vietnam Co., Ltd. of Vietnam, Honda Philippines Inc. of the Philippines, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt., Ltd. of India and Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd., regional headquarters for the Honda Asia and Oceania region.

Shirin Akter Shela crowned Miss Universe Bangladesh 2019 by India's Sushmita Sen

Miss Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen, 43, of India was very happy to be part of a historic event in Bangladesh recently. She crowned the first ever Miss Universe Bangladesh Shirin Akter Shela.

Sen knows that joy of being a beauty queen making history very well. She is the first ever Miss India to win Miss Universe.

On October 23, 2019, Sen served as a judge in the Miss Universe Bangladesh 2019 coronation night at the Navrati Hall of the International Convention City Bashundhara in Dhaka. The other judges were singer Tahsan Khan, Persona managing director Kaniz Almas, Bangladesh Heritage Craft president Tootli Rahman, Pulse Health Care founder Rubaba Dowla, Green Delta Insurance managing director Farzanah Chowdhury, Flora Bank managing director Rafiul Islam, commentator and former cricketer Athar Ali Khan, former Miss Ventura County California and Johnson County USA Star Faruque and Dr. Zareen Delawar Hussain.

Rizwan Bin Farooq is the Miss Universe Bangladesh chairman. The Miss Universe 2019 coronation night will be held in South Korea on December 5, 2019, Prothomalo quoted him as saying.

From 12,000 applicants, the chosen candidates underwent a three-month bootcamp. On October 15, 2019, the Miss Universe Bangladesh crown was unveiled in a gala event held in the Amisheé Fine Jewelry store in Gulshan, Dhaka, Dhaka Tribune reported.

During the coronation night, it was Sen who crowned Shela as Miss Universe Bangladesh 2019. Alisha Islam and Jessia Islam were the respective first and second runners-up while Tamanna Ishrat Sohani, Maria Mumu, Sanowar Tayefa, Afla Arman, Irana Ishrat, Smriti Akter and Toshiba Anita Islam finished in the Top 10.

Hailing from Thakurgaon, Rājshāhi, Bangladesh, She currently lives in Dhaka. She represented Nilphamari, Rangpur Division in Miss Universe Bangladesh 2019.

Shela is a Physics student at the University of Dhaka. She previously won Face of Bangladesh 2019.
The first woman to represent Bangladesh in Miss Universe is a soldier's daughter. She is expected to compete against more than 80 candidates from all over the world.

Reigning Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, 25, is the fourth Miss Universe from the Philippines and the 67th woman to hold the title. It was in the Philippines where Sen was crowned Miss Universe 1994.

Aep “The Raging Bull” Saepudi will challenge reigning One Pride MMA Featherweight Champion Hafid "The Avatar" Nur Maradi in the next One Pride Pro Never Quit event. Carrying the theme of "Battle of the Pride," the combat sports event will take place at Mahaka Square Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Jakarta, Indonesia on October 26, 2019.

"One Pride MMA Fight Night 33: Battle of the Pride" has four mixed martial arts matches on the main card. The main event of the evening is the title bout between Saepudi and Maradi, which is a rematch.

A Pitbull Academy fighter, Maradi is riding a four-bout winning streak. In his most recent bout, which was at "One Pride MMA Fight Night 31: Champions Never Quit" on August 24, 2019 at Tennis Indoor Senaya, Jakarta, he submitted Novian Hartanto via rear-naked choke in the first round.

Nur Maradi is from Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia. He currently holds a professional MMA record of 10 wins and 2 losses.

On the other hand, Saepudin has 4 wins and 4 losses. He hails from Purwakarta, West Java, Indonesia.

On April 7, 2018, Saepudin and Nur Maradi battled it out at "One Pride MMA Fight Night 18: Fearless Night" at the Britama Arena Mahaka Square in Kelapa Gading, Jakarta Utara, Indonesia. The latter submitted the former via arm-triangle choke.

“I may have been won against Aep in the past but I never underestimate my opponent heading into a fight," Nur Maradi said. "I watched his fights and clearly that he greatly improves on each fight. I am sure this will be a very tough fight.”

Saepudin earned his title shot after a victory in his most recent bout. On June 29, 2019, he defeated Yordan Hilapok in a three-round back-and-forth fight at "One Pride MMA Fight Night 29: Never Quit the Fight" at Tennis Indoor Senayan.

The Purwakarta native is aware of the grappling prowess of the reigning One Pride MMA Featherweight Champion. Because of this, the former took regular trips to Bandung, West Java to prepare for their fight at "One Pride MMA Fight Night 18: Fearless Night."

“For me, the fight against Hafid is the biggest challenge of my career," Saepudin said. "He is the defending champion and I’ve lost against him in the pas but then again, I have nothing to lose on this fight and I will give my best."

Indonesian actors Randy Pangalila and Adhi Pawitra will face each other in the next One Pride Pro Never Quit event. Carrying the theme of "Battle of the Pride," the combat sports event will take place at Mahaka Square Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Jakarta, Indonesia on October 26, 2019.

"One Pride MMA Fight Night 33: Battle of the Pride" has four mixed martial arts matches on the main card. The co-main event of the evening is the celebrity fight between Pangalila and Pawitra, who train out of Warrior Fight Camp Jakarta and Livre Brotherman Bandung, respectively.

This marks Pangalila's return to One Pride MMA after more than a year. He was victorious in his professional MMA debut at "One Pride MMA Fight Night 16" on February 10, 2018 with a 39-second KO against Fajar Ibel.

Born on October 19, 1990 in Surabaya, Indonesia, Pangalila is an actor of Manado, Dutch, and Javanese descent. He is set to star in the horror film "Si Manis Jembatan Ancol" (Bloodlust Beauty), which will hit theaters in Indonesia on December 26, 2019.

“One Pride MMA Fight Night 33” also marks the second One Pride MMA bout of Pawitra. In his professional MMA debut at "One Pride MMA Fight Night 20" on July 14, 2018, he fought against Volland Humonggio and the bout ended in a unanimous decision draw.

Born on December 15, 1984, Pawitra played Angga in the 2010 film "Selimut Berdarah." In 2017, he starred in the Verona Pictures soap opera "Dikejar Rejeki."

Philippines' Willy Quinto wins Mister Working Men International 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand


Willy Quinto, 26, of the Philippines was crowned Mister Working Men International 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand. The Filipino cop bested 16 other candidates from all continents.

The Mister Working Men International 2019 coronation night took place at the Central Plaza Chaengwattana Hall in Bangkok on October 21, 2019. It was the inaugural edition of the international male beauty pageant for independent working and professional men.

Runner-up to Quinto as Mister Working Men International 2019 was Luis Nava of the United States. David Duarte of Colombia, Tapsatit Gooncokkord of Thailand and Ngep Tonick of Cambodia were the respective second, third and fourth runners-up.

Hailing from Angeles, Pampanga, Philippines, Quinto went to Angeles University Foundation from 2009 to 2013. He earned a bachelor's degree in Criminology.

On October 14, 2016, Quinto was won Gwapulis 2016 at the Camp Crame in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. It was aired live on "Umagang Kay Ganda" on ABS-CBN.

Now working as a police officer, Quinto is based in Valenzuela City, Metro Manila. In one of the segments of the Mister Working Men International 2019 coronation night, he wore his Philippine National Police uniform.

Winning the competition was a great gift to the policeman who survived a motorcycle accident days before going to Thailand. On September 29, 2019, he was rushed to the Makati Medical Center in Makati City, Metro Manila after suffering an accident while riding a big bike along EDSA in Makati City.

The Philippines had two representatives at the Mister Working Men International 2019. The other one was Dr. Filemon "Mon" Rivo, a teacher in Bonuan Boquig National High School in San Gabriel, Bonuan, Dagupan, Pangasinan, Philippines.

Quinto's sash read Philippines while Rivo's had the words Hundred Islands. Another Filipino in the competition was Alfie S. Herrera, who represented the Filipino community of Malta.

Both Rivo and Herrera did not place. Herrera, Quinto and Edmar Bin Zaki of Borneo were named the three ambassadors of the Young Thai Organization.

India's Akshara Reddy crowned Miss Super Globe 2019 in Dubai, UAE


Representing India, Akshara Reddy was crowned Miss Super Globe 2019 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on October 18, 2019. The Indian model and actress bested 21 other candidates.

The Miss Super Globe 2019 coronation night took place at Marriott Hotel Dubai in Dubai. It was the second edition of the international beauty pageant.

Runner-up to Reddy as Miss Super Globe 2019 was Jemima Mandemwa of Zimbabwe, who was also crowned Miss Super Globe Africa 2019. Doldor Murina of Romania was second runner-up while Hoang Thi Ky Duyen of Vietnam was Miss Super Globe Asia Pacific 2019.

Reddy became a well-known face in Tamil Nadu, India through the reality program "Villa to Village." She made her film debut in the Malaysian Tamil film "Kasu Mela Kasu," in which she co-starred with "Paadam" star Vijjith.

Directed by Francis Selvam, "Kasu Mela Kasu" was the first Tamil film shot entirely in Mauritius. After this, Reddy starred in the comedy film "Bill Gates," which was directed by Srinivasa C. Mandya.

Moreover, Reddy was featured in "Sevantha Kangal" with Rahul Varma. It was the first ever reverse album song on India.

Before joining Miss Super Globe 2019, Reddy was Miss South India. As a model, she has done more than 150 ramp and fashion shows.
